Eclectic State College Micro Wedding

As a photographer, I had been waiting for a wedding like this... scenic, colorful, intimate, unique and well thought-out in every little detail. But Kiara, the bride, is one of my dearest friends, so I had been waiting for this day in a much more meaningful sense...

Kiara and Aaron rented a lodge in the Pennsylvania mountains to host friends and family for the entire weekend. They showed their loved ones around their home, Bellefonte, and celebrated their love for one another on a porch overlooking the mountains and partied on with a whiskey toast and a cigar bar.

From my heart the morning of this lovely wedding day...

"Kiara and Aaron are doing the forever thing with today.

Kiara has been my go to for any creative endeavors and the biggest encourager in my photography career since we were 13. She has modeled countless times, striking silly poses for the sake of beauty.

Today I get to document her biggest milestone yet, saying yes to her love, to honor and cherish forever. I do not take it lightly that I get to not only enjoy this day by standing alongside and celebrating, but by practicing the art of noticing and capturing all the little lovely moments. I will surely enjoy it all the more for that.

More than a creative encourager, Kiara has been a faithful friend. She celebrated others better than anyone I know and takes care of her people fiercely (she drew my pregnant self a bath mid-exhaustion meltdown in the middle of her own rehearsal dinner).

I’ve been blessed to see Aaron step right in and join her in celebrating life, and fiercely take care of her AND her people.

I can’t wait to officially become THEIR people today as they join their lives together permanently and get a chance to be the ones being celebrated.
